"Watch what they do. First they'll attack the credentials of the author, then they'll attack the credibility of the publication."

In other words, an ad hominem argument, which is logically fallacious. They can't refute the argument, so they "attack the man."

Spot on.Solameaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09869424956571944997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8121731.post-65286189129865671922007-02-05T22:42:00.000-06:002007-02-05T22:42:00.000-06:00Very true Charlie, thanks for visiting.

It is seldom government officials making statements on this, rather it is usually spokespeople for the various enviro-fascist groups that make erroneous statements.
That, and an all-pervasive left wing slant in the network news, propigates the myth of man-made global warming.RobertDWoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12468867977431697913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8121731.post-55932816241519931592007-02-05T20:49:00.000-06:002007-02-05T20:49:00.000-06:00He really hits the nail on the head in his whole a...He really hits the nail on the head in his whole analysis. The workings of politics and the media seem to incite the misinformation that has become prevalent knowledge. Don't get me wrong, the constituitional republic we live in is probably one of the most stable types of government there is. It's just sometimes the people within it becomed bogged down in being profitable and keeping their position instead of actually striving for the truth. The sinfulness of man comes out in a vicious manner, squashing any threat without thought to whether that opposition is authentic or not.
~CharlieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
