Update on Librarian vs. Harvard

"Harvard University did not discriminate against a library assistant who claimed she was repeatedly turned down for promotions because school officials saw her as "a pretty girl"...

Desiree Goodwin, who is black, also claimed that Harvard passed her over because of her race and gender. She had been seeking damages for emotional distress and lost wages."

That was an absurd case---it has been a long time, but some years ago, people dressed up for work and wanted to come across as professional. Now anything goes. People are not concerned by the image they project. This woman seems to project an image that her supervisors did not find suitable OR maybe she was incompetent. Sometimes when an incompetent person doesn't get a promotion, they want to blame it on the first thing that comes to mind. (It is because I'm a woman, I am black, etc) I'd like to see someone say "I'm an idiot and want a promotion."
Okay....starting to ramble....I just thought it was a lame case....I'm too pretty and they wouldn't promote me....gag me!
