French lab messed up. Big time.

Story: "The French anti-doping lab that tested American cyclist Floyd Landis' urine samples made an "administrative error" when reporting its findings on his backup "B" sample, the French newspaper Le Monde reported Wednesday.

The newspaper cited unnamed sources as saying the Chatenay-Malabry laboratory gave the wrong number in its report about Landis' second sample. Tests on the rider's two samples indicated that Landis had elevated levels of testosterone in his system when he won the Tour de France in July
."

Man... Take someone's reputation, drag it through the mud, and then say later that it was a mess up? Landis has said the entire time he didn't do it, and no one believed him.
And the french didn't have a grudge that the Americans won for the 8th time?

Of course they had a grudge. They just want Americans to believe that their grudge didn't effect the drug-testers.
I would want to say that the testers should be considered innocent until proven guilty, but it doesn't seem that they took that approach when they through Landis under the bus...so...
GUILTY! ;)

(Yeah, I just happened to get on here while they're doing maintenance, so I can't use my beta account.)

They are freakin idiots! This shows that they are big sore losers. Lance has taken their trophy for so many years and now Landis and they just can admit they do not have what it takes to win their own race.

As much as I am a flag waving american patriot,
Let's be honest.
American's have HUGE egos.
I think a large part of that is due to the collapse of the Soviet Union and being the only super power.
There's no one to challenge us,
So we don't admit our mistakes.
Therefore,
HUGE ego.
I think this has alot to do with why the rest of the world doesn't like us.
They just play along cause they have to.

KA, this maintanince thing is starting to drive me crazy.

Mercy, very true.

Jason, we may have a huge ego as a country, but what have we done to earn hatred? We've spent more money then any other nation in the history of the world on humanitarian efforts.
I don't think they hate us for being a superpower, but for often times standing up for whats right.

Oh I didn't say we've earned the hatred.
I was just throwing it out there.

I think we've done many things to make the world hate us.

First, we support Israel. Its not necessarily bad, but certainly provocative.

Second, our "humanitarian aid" has funded quite a few extremely evil people including Osama Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, Joseph Stalin, Shan of Iraq, and Park Chung-hee of Korea.

And third, we do an amazing amount of international policing. For instance, in 1999 we used our air force to enforce no fly zones we created over iraq after the Iraq-Kuwait war, one plane accidently mistok a sheep watering trough for a missle launcher and dropped a 3000 pound bomb on a group of sheephearders. Would you feel like forgiving a country that did that to your family?
