Hilary in Bosnia

Some quality journalism coming from CBS news, of all places.

I didn't think that made any sense. Why would we land a first lady (or any civilian) at an airport that was under fire? It seems like these kind of trips get canceled for much less. Although I must say a headline of "Clinton Stretching the Truth" doesn't really fit as breaking news either.

Good grab Palmboy

Great find. Interesting that in the last day since that got posted on youtube it's already had 1.2 million views. Clinton's aide trying to cover for her is a joke: "She meant that there was fire in the hillside around the area when we landed, which was the case." When in fact Clinton said, "I remember landing under sniper fire... There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."

I think it's interesting that liberal media is being hard on one of their own, but then again Obama probably lines up more with their ideology. Now that the race has been dwindled down to McCain vs. a democrat I guess it's time for the media to back their favorite.

On a slightly different note, the media seems to have been largely supportive of McCain when there were still several GOP candidates in the running. Isn't it interesting how it seems that they're a lot more interested in trying to find dirt on him now that he's clinched his spot at the GOP candidate (esp. the NY Times)?
