Observations

Hey,

President Bush was sworn into office in 2001. The New England Patriots wont he super bowl that year. Then the Pats were knocked out in the AFC Championship by the Oakland Raiders (From California, which is incidentally rather liberal), who went on to be clobbered by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a battle of the Pirates.
The next year, the Patriots roared back into the superbowl, and won.
The next year, the Patriots again went to the Super bowl, and won.
The next year, the Patriots were riddled with injures, but surged back to take their division, and make the divisional round of the playoffs.

Seems to me, that since Bush won, the Patriots have been winning.
