Drug runners at the border

Story: "Violence along the U.S.-Mexico border is undergoing what U.S. law-enforcement authorities call "an unprecedented surge," some of it fueled by weapons and ammunition purchased or stolen in the United States.

Federal, state and local law-enforcement officials from Texas to California, concerned about the impact of illegally imported weapons into Mexico, say they already are outmanned and outgunned by ruthless gangs that collect millions of dollars in profits by smuggling aliens and drugs into this country.

"These gangs have the weapons and the will to protect their lucrative cargoes," said Sigifredo Gonzalez Jr., the sheriff of Zapata County, Texas, who founded and served as the first president of the Texas Border Sheriff's Coalition. "With automatic weapons, grenades and grenade launchers, they pose a significant danger."
"

The mexican border isn't a problem? Not only do we have a massive stream of illegal immigrants flowing across the desert, but these guys with assutl rifles bringing in enormous quantities of narcotics. Now, if both of those groups can get in, what the heck is going to keep terrorists from coming in with them?
Its time to lock down the border, and allow the national gaurd to shoot back at these clowns, rather then having to retreat from the criminals.

What's it going to take to finally raise the roof at the White House and Capitol Hill? Until people get enraged enough to begin making their own local lawmakers pay a price for doing nothing, we will continue to have inaction at the border.

I still think it's intentional. The powers that be really do want the elimination of our national borders.

Terrorism; drugs; (possibly) disease; gang- and drug-related-violence; pumping money out of the U.S. economy; potentially bringing down wages; not paying taxes (obviously) while getting the benefits of citizenship; not being monitored (obviously). Why should we be concerned about the border? Wait...thought it over...let me change something: Why SHOULDN'T we be concerned about the border?
