Global Warming: No dice for febuary

NOAA: "The average temperature in February 2007 was 32.9 F. This was -1.8 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average, the 34th coolest February in 113 years. The temperature trend for the period of record (1895 to present) is 0.3 degrees Fahrenheit per decade. "

Yup, this is definatly a warming trend.

For those of you who were not yet born or don't remember, back in the 1970's there was a "scare" (even published in Time Mag.) that we were headed for the next Ice Age. How is it that in 30 years we are on the brink of disaster from two totally opposing global weather trends? Just doesn't make sense!
