The State of Fear

In Honor of this being the 400th post in the War Against Ignorance, we are starting a new series entitled The State of Fear. These will be posted periodically, about once a week.

A lot of topics will be covered, including
  • Genetically modified food
  • Global Warming/The environment
  • Arabian nations
  • The Red Dragon: China
  • Avian Flu
  • Radiation
  • The Federal Deficit
  • The Draft
  • 'Super bugs'
So, the first up will be an extremely well written, well illustrated, and well backed up speech by Michael Crichton, mainly about environmental fears. In addition to showing what fears are blown out of proportion, we'll take a look at why they are, and for what purpose.

I welcome debate on these issues, and look forward to a battle in the arena of ideas.

Stay 'tooned!

People these days are so fearful.

People just cannot find enough things to worry about.

I dare say the last days might be upon us, but there are plenty of things to be cheerful about-
advances in medical technology, increasing global prosperity, increased demand for democracy in many countries, etc.

Every Blessing in Christ
