Colossal Carbon Footprint looms over Democrat Debate

Newsday:"A flock of small jets took flight from Washington Thursday, each carrying a Democratic presidential candidate to South Carolina for the first debate of the political season.

For Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama, Chris Dodd and Joe Biden, it was wheels up shortly after they voted in favor of legislation requiring that U.S. troops begin returning home from Iraq in the fall.

No one jet pooled, no one took commercial flights to save money, fuel or emissions.

All but Biden, who flew on a private jet, chartered their flights "

I wouldn't expect them to try and 'pool resources' or anything, they are in competition for winning the Democrat nomination after all. What I would expect, at least out of one candidate, is to take a passenger airliner, (and support union labor!) or have they're campaign scheduled so they arrive in the same place the day before.
But ya know, liberalism is often synonymous with hypocrisy, and this is another example of that.

I don't think liberals fully understand the economic consequences (like, say, chartered jets) that come along with succumbing to the Global warming crowd.

It would be so bad that our country wouldn't even have to worry about the world ending, because the United States wouldn't be around due to a destroyed economy.

The scariest part is that the two leading caniadates for the White House (sadly two dems) are very pro-Global warming. Not a good sign.

Snicker, chortle, guffaw! I love it when hypocrisy like this is exposed! You'd think someone would have at least driven an SUV or rode a moped to the event.

I honestly think NOAA should take a satellite view of the atmosphere over every candidate event this election cycle. They might discover that the ozone hole is not over the Antarctic, but rather over Washington and the cities where the conventions will be held.

I do wish people would stop waffling about 'carbon footprints.'

If all of the candidates have their actual jobs, and offices, in Washington DC; do you think they may have planned ahead and just had the debates in Washington.

I'm so sorry, what am I thinking. I'm actually trying to ascribe common sense to liberal politicians. My bad.

Johnathan, thanks for dropping in.

Sola, I think you have the right idea. Laughing.
A moped. There's a solution. :D

Matt, I agree.

David: What, asking people for money and talking on TV isn't a real job???
