Right. And Islam is a religion of peace, dedicated to preserving life and peace. But then we have these random protests over the pope, and danish cartoons, not to forget the muslim nazis who fly planes into buildings.

Under, why did this arguement shift posts? And I am begining to fail to see a point to this debate.
Benedict cited an obscure Medieval text that characterizes some of the teachings of Islam's founder as "evil and inhuman." So instead of trying to explain or defend it, the radical Islamists decided to burn down churches and shoot at people and church properties. This only goes to prove that their religion is dangerous and what part of killing all the infidels (non-Muslims) that is commanded in the Saudi version of the Koran is not dangerous?
All you have to do is read the Koran. It encourages violence against us "infidels."
Christianity is the only religion that really is a religion of peace because we've found the reality that peace starts with inner peace with God through the King of Peace: Jesus Christ. For people who don't know the inner peace of forgiveness from sins through Jesus, this sounds crazy.
Other religions can provide temporary peace with others and a false peace with God through denial of the depravity of the human condition. But, if one is totally honest, that peace has to be fought for and constantly renewed through human actions.
As Christians, we have to turn the other cheek to those who scorn our religion. In fact, it is our desire to do so, although we wait on God to vindicate Himself. The only way that Christians can have such humility is through the power of the Living God who reaches out and creates such a reaction. Otherwise, it is not sustainable.
So, don't be surprised when humanists take their various religions to extremes. True humility can only come through a God-given knowledge of how messed up we are and how AMAZING God is. That is taught to you only by God's Spirit.
Watched Flight 93 - it shows the danger of misleading yourself into believing in the wrong god. How do you know that the Holy Trinity is the right God?
But, let's face it, if you serve the wrong god now, you will be justly punished for your rebellion against the rightful Creator God for eternity in hell. So, how do you know that Jesus Christ is the authentic God?

I actually heard on Fox News' Hannity & Colmes a while back something along these lines from a man who used to be a Muslim:

70 virgins on EACH BED; 70 beds in EACH MANSION; 70 MANSIONS!!!
So, if I heard that right, Muslims claim that it's actually 70 virgins CUBED (or 343,000).
Regardless, it's really irrelevant. Seth accomplished his point.

I should clarify that the man I'm referring to MIGHT STILL be a Muslim. I think what happened is he left the jihad--I'm not sure if he actually left the Islamic faith or not.
Anyway, I thought it would be an emphatic element to the "debate" of whether Islam is a "peaceful" religion or not.
Tim, I belive Jesus Christ to be the one true savior of this world, and myself. How? Because of the bible, and the proof within it.
