US Soldiers worse then Saddam?

Story: ""The absolute cynical manipulation, deliberately cynical manipulation, to shape American public opinion and 69 percent of the people, at that time, it worked, they said 'we want to go to war,'" Rockefeller told CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson. "Including me. The difference is after I began to learn about some of that intelligence I went down to the Senate floor and I said 'my vote was wrong.'"

Rockefeller went a step further. He says the world would be better off today if the United States had never invaded Iraq — even if it means Saddam Hussein would still be running Iraq.

He said he sees that as a better scenario, and a safer scenario, "because it is called the 'war on terror.'"

Does Rockefeller stands by his view, even if it means that Saddam Hussein could still be in power if the United States didn't invade?

"Yes. [Saddam] wasn't going to attack us. He would've been isolated there," Rockefeller said. "He would have been in control of that country but we wouldn't have depleted our resources preventing us from prosecuting a war on terror which is what this is all about.""

So, let me get this straight. The world would be a better place with Saddam still in control of 26 million people?
So, then the world is a safer, better place when these 26 millions people are subject to arbitrary treatment without due process?
So, what happens in Saddams world:
  • Suspension by the wrists for hours on end while naked.
  • Electric shock to the ears, fingers genitals and tounge
  • Swung from a rotating fan while being beating with whips, canes, pipes and hoses.
  • Extraction of fingernails
  • Mutilation by electric drill
  • Rape and other sexual tortures
  • Raping of family members
  • Watching friends and family members recieving the above tortures.
  • Beheading of a father in front of the family home
Yeah. And thats better then the US troops? I don't think so. What have US troops done?
  • Repaired power to the region
  • Restored fresh water
  • Protected the democratic process in its infancy. (Purple Fingers anyone?)
  • Captured the nazis, who are muslims, btw.
Which is better?

Now, look at the world at large. In the past, we had 3 allies in the region. Now we've got 5. Who's new? Iraq and the United Arab Emerates.
In the past, we had a ruthless, totalitarian dictator who supported terrorists, to the tune of 2000 a year, and exersiced torture and mass killings as a control mechanisim in his country.
The US? We've taken the fight to the terrorists in their backyard, and fighting them with those who are trained to kill enemies of the United States.
Rockerfeller is a liar, a traitor to his country, and a man who has allied himself with our enemies. And if the dems think this will give them the election, they had better be prepared for results that will have their heads spinning, as the balence of the house shifts dramatically to the right, and to a lesser degree, the senate.

Howdy, and welcome aboard.

I'm glad you agree that Saddam should have been removed from power, as he has been.

The Sojourner plan, summed up.
1. Indite Saddam for crimes
2. Disarm him via a peaceful coalition.
3. Create a democracy via the UN, without the aggressive use of force.
4. More Humanitarian Aide
5. Time table of aquiessence to palistine.
6. Renew diplomatic efforts against the terrorists.

Rebuttal:
1. Saddam was in proven violation of 11 UN resolutions. He was already proven guilty of crime, and yet nothing happened.
2. Saddam was disarmed after the Persian Gulf, and yet, he was still armed. The only way to beat and opponent is by the fierce and aggressive use of force, directly against the enemy. And thats what we did.
3. The United Nations is almost incapable of doing anything right. Please show me where the UN has fostered a successful democracy.
4. Oil for food program? That was a large, 'humanitarian aid' project that did nothing but line the pockets of the UN and Saddam.
5. Why would we want to create a 2 nation area in what is rightfully Isreal? It makes no sense to cave to evil.
6. Diplomatic efforts. Well, let see. Yes, excellent track record over the last 40 years in Isreal.

Iraq is a wonderful place of growth and freedom. The best that can be hoped for is occouring as we live.

Thanks for dropping by, hope to see you around later.
