Story: "Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said they were ready to spend billions of dollars (euros) financing projects in other countries to help thwart US domination.
The anti-US Presidents whose efforts to extend their influence have alarmed Washington met Saturday in Venezuela’s capital, the first stop on Ahmadinejad’s tour of Latin America that will also see him visit newly elected leftist leaders in Nicaragua and Ecuador.
The oil-rich nations had previously announced plans for a joint USD 2 billion fund to finance investments in Venezuela and Iran, but Chavez and Ahmadinejad said Saturday that the money would also be used for projects in friendly third countries."
Yeah, we'll see how this goes. Two small, communist or tyranical countries challenging the economic might of the United States? No way they can win.

I have to chuckle a bit. I remember when Panama's ex-dictator, Manuel Noriega, loved to have himself filmed at rallies with cheering crowds, pumping his fists in the air at his defiance of the U.S. Then he made the mistake of monkeying around with U.S. citizens, and then George H.W. Bush sent the troops in.
Noriega is now in a Florida prison. Perhaps Hugo Chavez should think about that for a while.
BTW, doesn't he (Chavez) have the fattest head you've ever seen? Looks like someone pushed a bike tire pump into his neck and started pumping.
Yes, these self serving dictators don't really know what we are capable of. I mean we can send our troops in and extract them out like we did w/ Noriga and leave their govt in the hands of other more sane officials.
That would work. Or, they could just fail because they're communist, and they can't match the economic strength of the US.
And yes, Chavez has a large head in both senses.
