Liberals protest war, ignore hipocrasy

Story: "Democratic congressional leaders vowed today to keep the House debate over the war in Iraq going until midnight, despite a dangerous ice storm that closed the federal government and schools throughout the area.
Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer, Maryland Democrat, answered with an emphatic "no" when asked if Congress might end debate early over a nonbinding resolution that would oppose the president's plan to send more troops to Iraq.
The federal government, along with local governments and school systems, closed at 2 p.m. in the face of freezing rain and falling temperatures.
"The men and women in Iraq are not shutting down because of rain, sleet, snow, cold, hot, sandstorm. We're going to be here and we're going to do our work," Mr. Hoyer said.
"

(global warming, eh?)
Oh, those brave congressmen, standing up to the world, loudly screaming as they fade into the night, 'This war is a failure' and 'Bush lied to us!'. But their courage does not end there. No, while the tempest of old man winter blows about outside, they will remain and do their duty, defaming the work our soldiers have, and seek to continue. That is to say, Treason against their country. The liberals in washington are mad about the war, and this is how they vent. By aiding and abeting the enemy by destroying the resolve at home.

Hard to beleive they're elected, but alas, this is what those who elected them deserve.

Every time I watch "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" starring Jimmy Stewart, my blood boils. And Congress wonders why people hold them in such low esteem.

They should have taken the occasion to debate global warming, LOL. Of course, greenhouse gases have been shown in very heavy concentration over the Capitol building. Scientists are studying the phenomenon.

At least they don't have to pay to cover the heating costs and electricity. THEN they'd not show so much resolve!
