US military launches fresh Iraq offensive. 05/10/2005. ABC News Online:
"US marines say they have launched the biggest offensive yet against insurgents in western Iraq.
The military says 2,500 troops are taking part in the offensive, named Operation River Gate, which is aimed at stopping Al Qaeda from operating in Haditha and two nearby towns, Haqlaniya and Barwana."
The clock is ticking on the insurgents.
